About Coach Kellogg

Derek Kellogg is one of the youngest, brightest Division I college coaches in the game today. A former stand-out point-guard for UMass, playing under then head coach John Calipari, UMass won four Atlantic 10 Conference regular season and tournament championships in that time span. Coach Kellogg was an assistant under Calipari for eight seasons at Memphis before returning to his alma mater. Having been associated with Coach Calipari for twelve years as a player and then an assistant, Coach Kellogg obviously has a great understanding of the game, and access to many other Division I coaches.

While at Memphis, Derek coached current NBA point guard Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls. Coach Kellogg himself was also the starting point guard for UMass in '95, when UMass was #1 in the country. So he knows how to develop players and what it takes for players to become great.
